A sociopolitical organization, Igbo National Council, (INC), after Igbo National Political Summit held in Owerri, Imo State, has urged all major political parties in Nigeria to cede their presidential tickets to the South East zone in the 2023 general elections.

The group further charged major key political actors to respect and adopt the permutation in the interest of equity, fairness and justice.

INC stated unequivocally that should the aforementioned demand is treated with levity, the Igbo nation will have no other option than to collectively mobilize to enforce its Rights to Self determination as contained in the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights and the United Nation Declaration of Rights.

The Igbo sociopolitical organization made its position known as parts of its resolutions during the summit which contained in a communiqué jointly signed by its President, Chilos Godsent and National Secretary, Zulu Ofoelue made available to DAILY POST on Monday.

The INC Summit condemned in strong term the wanton and reckless destruction of properties and killing of Nigerians by the rampaging Fulani Jihadists Herdsmen and Bandits.

It further posited that it is a matter of urgent necessity that Nigeria federation must be liberated from the present high state of insecurity, abject poverty, economic turmoil and political backwardness Inter-alia.

The Summit called on Nigerians to boycott the buying and eating of cow meat as a minimum measure of economic sanctions against the killer Jihadist Herdsmen.

The INC Summit demanded that the Federal Government of Nigeria should declare the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) as a terrorist group for their alleged open and brazen support and participation in terrorism in Nigeria through the Jihadist Killer Herdsmen.
