Dating: I’m not attracted to women over 35 — Rapper Trick Daddy
Miami rapper Maurice “Trick Daddy” Young has stirred he@ted debate online after controversial remarks about his dating preferences on The NeNe Leakes Show. The 51-year-old said he is not attracted to women over 35, describing them as “d@maged go%ds.”
During the interview, which quickly went viral, Trick Daddy declared:
“With the exception of you and maybe two or three other women… I’m not attracted to no women over 35 years old.”
He added, “Y’all standards are too high, y’all are too emotional, y’all are d@maged go%ds from y’all past relationships.”
Host NeNe Leakes challenged his comments, insisting, “I am not d@maged.” Trick Daddy replied, “You don’t even realize you’re d@maged, because you’re not supposed to sit here in front of me giving attention to your ex.”
The exchange became a back-and-forth over emotional baggage and relationship standards.
Trick Daddy married Joy Young in 2003, and the couple remained together for nearly two decades before she filed for divorce in 2022. In a 2023 interview on the We in Miami Podcast, Joy said she left because she was “sick and tired of being sick and tired.”
Known for early-2000s hits like Let’s Go, Trick Daddy has a reputation for blunt, unfiltered takes on relationships, loyalty, and gender roles. His latest comments add to a history of statements that have sparked controversy.
