As We Speak Over N300bn Has Come From President Tinubu Reforms Into Abia State Local Govt-Eze Chikamnayo

Tinubu: According to a report by Leadership News on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Abia State All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders have officially ruled out the possibility of Governor Alex Otti joining the party, declaring that he will not be welcomed into its ranks.

The decision was made by party members who argue that Otti’s entry could disrupt their strategy for the upcoming 2027 general election.

According to the stakeholders, APC is focused on consolidating its influence in the state, and Otti’s inclusion could pose a risk to these efforts.

Abia’s Best Interest Association, the group representing key APC stakeholders in the state, emphasized that the governor’s record raises concerns about his alignment with the party’s objectives.

The association made it clear that the party’s priority is to maintain a unified front and strengthen its organizational structure before the general election.

They argued that Otti’s political moves suggest he may not be fully supportive of the party’s agenda.

Eze Chikamnayo, the convener of Abia’s Best Interest Association, highlighted that although Governor Otti publicly claimed to back President Bola Tinubu, his actions suggest otherwise.

According to Chikamnayo, Otti’s approach in the state has undermined the president’s leadership.

The stakeholders expressed concern that this could weaken APC’s efforts to implement reforms and deliver on key developmental projects in Abia State.
