Italian Fashion Icon Giorgio Armani Passes Away at 91
Renowned Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has d+ed at the age of 91, the Armani Group announced on Thursday.
Armani, celebrated for shaping a distinct Italian style and elevating Hollywood’s red-carpet fashion, was described as “Il Signor Armani” by his employees and collaborators. The company said he passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
In a tribute, the Armani Group hailed him as “a tireless driving force” and highlighted his vision, passion, and dedication that built the brand into a global powerhouse.
“Today, with deep emotion, we feel the void left by the one who founded and nurtured this family,” the statement read. “In his spirit, we, his employees and family members, commit to protecting his legacy and carrying the company forward with respect, responsibility, and love.”
