The U.S. government warned that even high-profile individuals can be denied visas if caught in the corruption web.
The warning was handed down in a statement on Monday, released via the official 𝕏 account of the U.S Mission in Nigeria.
“Fighting corruption knows no borders or limits on accountability. Even when high-profile individuals engage in corruption, they can be barred from receiving U.S. Visas,” the statement read.
The advisory represents the latest in the series of installations by the American government under the leadership of President Donald Trump, who has tightened visa requirements and immigration procedures since assuming office for a second term.
GoldmyneTV recalls that recently, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) attributed the visa restrictions and denials being experienced by law-abiding Nigerians to the activities of internet fraudsters, popularly referred to as Yahoo Boys.
