According to our report, the tension inside the PDP escalated sharply after Nyesom Wike delivered a blistering address during a high-stakes party meeting streamed on SYMFONI TV.
Wike accused certain politicians of rewriting the party’s history, insisting many only joined the PDP out of political convenience, not loyalty.
He pointed out one case directly, saying Bala Muhammad became a minister through the Doctrine of Necessity—and that was how he entered the PDP, warning that such latecomers should not challenge those who built the party from day one.
Wike condemned what he described as calculated misinformation aimed at weakening the PDP, while praising the BOT and NWC for resisting external pressure. He reminded members that the party was founded on sacrifice, consistency, and loyalty—not sudden ambition or opportunism.
He urged members to stand firm: the PDP must not be handed over to those who only came seeking appointments.
