“I Woke Up to This - Trump Has Struck,” Says Charly Boy

Nigerian entertainer and social activist Charly Boy stirred widespread reactions on social media after posting a cryptic message on X (formerly Twitter), questioning whether the United States President Donald Trump had launched a military strike.

Charly Boy’s post, which read, “I woke up dis morning to dis. Trump don strike,” was a direct reaction to a viral post circulating online.

Donald Trump, claimed that the United States had carried out what it described as “numerous perfect strikes” against terrorists allegedly responsible for killing Christians.

The post, which surfaced on Christmas morning, quickly gained traction among Nigerian users, many of whom were confused by the timing and gravity of the alleged claim.

Charly Boy’s reaction captured the mood of many social media users who woke up to the post and were unsure whether it represented a real geopolitical development or another case of online misinformation.

The viral post purportedly quoted Trump as saying he had earlier warned terrorists to stop the “slaughtering of Christians,” adding that there would be “hell to pay” if they failed to comply.

It further claimed that the “Department of War” had executed the strikes — a phrase that immediately raised eyebrows, as the United States officially operates a Department of Defense, not a Department of War.

Charly Boy’s brief but pointed post once again demonstrated his influence in driving national conversations.

While his message did not confirm the claim, it amplified public curiosity and skepticism.

As of the time of reporting, there is no official confirmation that Donald Trump ordered or carried out the attack described in the viral image, leaving the claim firmly in the realm of unverified social media speculation.
