Suspected b@ndits on Monday night abd¥cted an elderly woman and her granddaughter in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, barely 48 hours after k+lling her son and another resident in Arak village, Sanga Local Government Area.

The victims were identified as Mrs. “Averik Arak and her granddaughter. Mrs. Arak’s son, Habila Averik, was reportedly k+lled on Saturday during an earlier att@ck on the community. Sources said the elderly woman was still mourning her son’s d+ath an incident that occurred in her presence when the assailants returned on Monday night. She was also said to be ill at the time of the abd¥ction.

In related att@cks across the state, b@ndits reportedly kidn+pped at least 15 villagers, mostly minors, from Unguwan Sarki Maro in Kajuru Local Government Area. In Kadage village, Kauru Local Government Area, about 16 people were abd¥cted while one person was k+lled.

A source from Kadage village disclosed that more than 100 residents from seven surrounding villages in Kauru Local Government Area have been taken hostage by b@ndits between December 1, 2025, and January 4, 2026. The source lamented what he described as a media blackout over the renewed wave of kidn+ppings and k+llings in the area.
