Youths Take to Streets in Ekpoma, Edo State to Protest Rising Incidents of Kidn+ppings

Residents and youths in Ekpoma, Edo State, have staged a protest against the escalating wave of kidn+ppings in the area, particularly around Ambrose Alli University (AAU) and nearby communities.

Footage shared online shows demonstrators marching and chanting slogans such as “No to Kidn+pping,” highlighting growing fe@rs among students, locals, and medical workers.

The protest comes after a series of security incidents, including a student-led demonstration earlier this week and actions by doctors in Auchi following similar abd¥ctions and k+llings.

Tensions remain high after the January 1 kidn+pping of two brothers one a recent medical graduate from AAU who were targeted by kidn+ppers. Tragically, one brother was k+lled despite ransom negotiations, while the other is still being held captive.

Additional incidents, such as a failed abd¥ction attempt in Idumebo last night, have further heightened community outrage. Authorities have yet to issue an official response to today’s protest.
