Nigerian skit maker and content creator Carter Efe has explained why he has shown support for different Nigerian artistes, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido and Olamide.
Speaking on TVC News, Carter Efe was asked about his tendency to support different artistes at different times, from being with Burna Boy, to supporting “Machala” (Wizkid), then 30BG (Davido), and now bringing Olamide into the conversation.
Responding, Carter Efe said: “I am not in any place because the last time I said let me be in one place, the person poured spit on my face and that is wizkid”
When asked how he could make such a statement considering that the name “Machala” helped give him fame and was associated with a popular song, Carter Efe responded:
“How?, if you call machala on the street now, I am the machala and not wizkid. I am telling you fact”
He was also asked whether he would betray Davido now that he stands with him.
Carter Efe replied: “I will never in my life betray Davido. Davido is my daddy, Davido is my helper. I still called him yesterday and he picked my call. Who am I? All the way from delta state? It’s just grace”
