Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has opened up about the realities of living abroad, revealing she once paid £5,000 (over ₦9 million) monthly for an apartment in one of the UK’s most expensive neighborhoods.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, Tacha reflected on life after her BBNaija disqualification, noting that public perception and friendships changed drastically. “I’ve been called different types of names. I got disqualified from the reality TV show and people k+lled a goat, k+lled stuff,” she said.
She described the isolation of living overseas, saying some of the friends she expected to see were too busy with multiple jobs. “It was literally just me living in the most expensive neighborhood… we are talking £5,000 a month. Before you sleep and wake up, it’s 30 days already and you’re like, I have to start calculating,” Tacha explained.
The reality star added that the experience made her understand the challenges of living abroad, especially for those juggling several work shifts to make ends meet.
