The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the de@th of Vic Matt, an executive producer, film director, and manager to Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Bright Morgan.
Vic Matt, whose real name was Victor Tobechukwu Okoli, was reportedly abd¥cted on Friday near Ntachi Osa in Enugu State and later k+lled by his kidn@ppers.
The tragic news was confirmed by filmmaker Ben Cassie, who paid tribute to him on Instagram. She described Vic Matt as a man of principle, intelligence, and passion, noting his constant support and encouragement in an industry often riddled with challenges.
“It is hard for some of us to see those who genuinely wish us well. You always dropped words of encouragement even when I was most silent. In an industry of sn@kes and scorpions, you stood different. To be k+dnapped and k+lled is such a heart-wrenching way to leave this earth. We can all live and prosper. Goodnight, Vic,” she wrote.
Her tribute has since sparked an outpouring of grief from colleagues, fans, and Nollywood stakeholders, who are celebrating Vic Matt’s legacy and his dedication to nurturing young talents.
