The Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Biodun Ajiboye, has hailed President Bola Tinubu’s recent engagement with Brazil, describing it as a bold and visionary step that redefines Nigeria’s international relations.
Speaking in an interview on Arise TV, Ajiboye stressed that Nigeria stands to gain immensely from stronger ties with Brazil, arguing that the South American nation offers more meaningful opportunities than traditional Western partners.
“The hallmark of leadership is the ability to appreciate your vision and develop the right muscle and energy to drive that vision. What Bola Tinubu the President of Nigeria has demonstrated in Brazil a couple of days ago is a leader who has an unusual capacity to drive his vision.
We have seen in him practicality of leadership to pursue excellently, an idea to move away from the usual in a way that will be positive and result oriented. That’s what the President of Nigeria have demonstrated,” Ajiboye said.
He added that Nigeria does not need to rely on the United States or Europe if it forges a strong relationship with Brazil.
“I tell you honestly, Brazil is the destination for Nigeria. With Brazil, Nigeria has no business going to America, Europe to ask for anything. Brazil can give to Nigeria everything Nigeria needs at this point in time.
So, for the President to have been able to understand that there is something that makes Nigeria irresistible to Brazil, it’s the intelligence. It’s the unusual leadership intellect demonstrated,” he said.
