The late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was honored on Sunday with a memorial service at State Farm Stadium, Arizona, where family, political allies, and thousands gathered to pay their last respects.

His widow, Erika Kirk, delivered a moving tribute that drew a standing ovation. In a surprise moment, she forgave the man accused of her husband’s murder.
“The answer to h@te is not h@te. The answer to v+olence is not more v+olence. It is love for our enemies, and forgiveness, even when it feels impossible,” she said.
She recalled the pa+nful hospital scene after the sh++ting, calling it the most devastating moment of her life, but vowed to carry on his mission through Turning Point USA.
“Charlie and I built this mission together, and I will not let it end here. We will continue to stand for truth, faith, and family,” she declared.
The event featured high-profile figures. Former U.S. President Donald Trump praised Kirk but also cr+ticized political opponents, while JD Vance hailed him as a “martyr” for Christian faith and conservative values.
The memorial underscored Kirk’s influence in U.S. politics and the tensions his d+ath has deepened. Yet Erika’s call for forgiveness stood out as a rare conciliatory note in a polarized climate.
