Ryan Taylor, British boxer and ex-fiancé of Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has made surprising claims about their relationship during a recent appearance on the Ladders podcast.
Speaking about their time together, Taylor alleged that Cuppy “didn’t l+ke people from her country” and even discouraged him from employing her country people in his business.
“Is it m@d if I told you that she didn’t like people from her country?” he said. “She’ll come into my business and she didn’t want me to have her fellow country people as staff. We used to walk in the mall and people would run from their counters and ask for money.”
The couple, who got engaged in November 2022 but reportedly split in mid-2023, often made headlines for their public displays of affection and luxury lifestyle. However, their breakup drew speculation from fans after both unfollowed each other on social media and stopped sharing posts together.
Despite his remarks, Taylor ended on a reflective note about their relationship, saying, “Everything happens for a reason. The time that I met her, where we both were at the time, it had to happen. No regrets, lesson learnt.”
