Governor Wike of Rivers state, has declared Stanley Mgbere, who is said to be the leader of Pro-IPOB wanted.
The Rivers State government, blamed the attacks in some Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Rivers state, especially in Oyigbo LGA on the IPOB.
In a state wide address made on Friday, October 23, Wike declared one Stanley Mgbere from Onne in Eleme LGA wanted and placed a bounty of N50 million on him.
The Rivers state Governor also promised to sign an executive order to effect the proscription of IPOB in the state, adding that he would meet with communities and stakeholders to ensure prompt implementation in collaboration with security agencies.
Mr Wike said that IPOB’s activities within the state has endangered the lives and property of Rivers State and her people.
“Security agencies are hereby directed to stop any form of procession or agitation by IPOB in Rivers State or any part thereof and arrest and prosecute any person or group that identifies with the membership or activities of IPOB in the State.
“Government will issue an executive order to strengthen and ensure the effective enforcement of these measures,” Mr Wike said.
