PDP Expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu and Others for Anti-Party Activities
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday announced the expulsion of former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesome Wike; factional party chairman Samuel Anyanwu; and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, citing anti-party activities.
The decision was unanimously approved by delegates at the ongoing PDP National Convention in Ibadan. The motion for expulsion was moved by one of the party’s founding fathers, Chief Bode George, and seconded by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohamed.
In addition to the prominent leaders, other party officials expelled include National Legal Adviser Adeyemi Ajibade SAN, Umar Bature, AbdulRahman Mohammed, Mao Chuambuwa, George Turner, Austin Nwachukwu, Abraham Ammah, and Dan Orbih.
