An Abuja Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of online publisher Omoyele Sowore in Kuje prison pending hearing Tuesday on his application for bail.

Sowore, a former presidential candidate along with four others were arraigned Monday at the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja on three-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.

OsmekNews reports that this comes on the heels of their arrest by the police for leading a protest against bad governance on New Year’s Eve in Gudu area of Abuja.
