Torrorists have struck again in Kwara State, abd¥cting four rice farmers in Bokungi Village, Edu Local Government Area, just a day after an attack on a church in Eruku, Ekiti LGA.

According to sources sited by SaharaReporters, the incident occurred Wednesday evening while the victims were harvesting rice. The att+ckers reportedly arrived suddenly, surrounded the farmers, and forced them into the bush before taking them to an unknown location. Residents said the g¥nmen operated without resistance for several minutes.

The recent abd¥ction has heightened f+ar among farming communities in Edu LGA, with many settlements reportedly deserted as farmers avoid the fields during the peak harvest period.

This comes after a d+adly att+ck on a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku on Tuesday evening. Gunmen reportedly opened fire during a church meeting, k+lling three worshippers on the spot and abd¥cting several others, including the pastor. The att+ckers then escaped through bush paths linking Eruku to neighbouring villages, leaving residents in panic.

The Kwara State Police Command has yet to release an official statement regarding either incident. The att+cks highlight a continuing security crisis in the state, particularly affecting vulnerable rural communities during crucial agricultural periods.
