The international lawyers representing suspected Nigerian alleged fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi have applied to withdraw from his case.
The US Lawyers Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky said Hushpuppi stopped communicating with them and has retained new lawyers to defend him in the case.
Mr. Pissetzky and Ms. Podberesky have filed a motion at the United States District Court in California to withdraw from representing Mr. Abass according to Premium Times.
Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai by security operatives, including UAE police officers and FBI operatives.
Huspuppi was allegedly involved in a business email compromise (BEC) fraud, money-laundering, cyber fraud, hacking, criminal impersonation, and banking fraud.
