Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka has been suspended by the Bishop of Enugu diocese, Callistus Valentine Onaga, following clash with Buhari.
The church suspended Mbaka for one month after his political and controversial statement of president Buhari’s government.
Mbaka was asked to proceed on suspension with effect from May 3 after he was summoned by Callistus Valentine Onaga.
Last week Wednesday, Fr Mbaka criticized the Muhammadu Buhari over the insecurity in the nation. Before his recent fall out with Buhari, Fr. Mbaka endorsed and supported the President’s 2015 election.
After giving his support, Fr. Mbaka called for the resignation of Buhari, as he claimed the president’s administration has failed to tackle security issues in the country.
Days after his comments, his followers claimed that Mbaka was kidnapped, as they stormed the premises of the Bishop to search for the clergy.
They accused the Bishop of kidnapping and handling Maka to the state DSS. However, Mbaka later reappeared to rebuild the claims after the DSS spokesman denied his followers claims.
