Brazilian Footballer Hulk Faces Backlash After Marrying Ex-Wife’s Niece
Former Brazil star Hulk, who currently plays for Atletico Mineiro, has stirred controversy after marrying Camila Angelo, the niece of his ex-wife Iran Angelo, in a religious ceremony. The couple had previously tied the knot in a civil ceremony back in 2020.
Hulk, 38, shared his happiness on Instagram, writing that he feels “fulfilled in all areas of life.” Hulk and Iran were married for 12 years and have three children together: sons Ian and Tiago, and daughter Alice who are also cousins to Camila.
The marriage has drawn sharp criticism from Iran’s sister, Rayssa, who expressed her anger on social media. She described the situation as a betrayal and compared Camila to “Judas,” lamenting that it coincided with the anniversary of her mother’s death. Rayssa criticized Camila for pursuing a relationship with someone her family once trusted, calling it a reflection of “an empty heart.”
Reports indicate that Hulk began his relationship with Camila in December 2019, just months after his split from Iran, and informed his family, including his children, at that time.
