Rather than accepting the result, bobi wine says he is now on the run after security forces allegedly raided his home on Friday night. According to him, he escaped the operation, but his wife and other family members were left under house arrest.

“I managed to escape from them. they are looking for me everywhere and I’m trying to keep safe,” he wrote on X.

Police have denied raiding his residence, saying they only restricted movement around certain areas they consider security hotspots to prevent unrest. However, residents near wine’s home reported seeing heavy security presence, drones and helicopters overnight, sparking fear in the neighbourhood.
