Abiodun Hails Peaceful APC Governorship Primary, Congratulates Yayi on Emergence

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun – MFR , has commended members of the All  Progressives Congress (APC) across the state for the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s governorship direct primary election, which produced Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA (Yayi) as the APC governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.

Governor Abiodun described the exercise as orderly, transparent and credible, noting that the process once again demonstrated the unity, discipline and strong democratic culture that have continued to distinguish the APC in Ogun State.

He expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders, members, electoral officials and security agencies for their dedication and cooperation, which contributed to the smooth conduct of the primary election across the state.

The governor noted that the overwhelming affirmation of Senator Adeola by party members reflects the confidence reposed in his leadership and capacity to sustain the developmental momentum already being witnessed across Ogun State.

Governor Abiodun congratulated Senator Adeola on his emergence as the party’s flag bearer and reaffirmed the commitment of APC leaders and members to work collectively towards ensuring victory in the 2027 governorship election.

He emphasized that the party remains united, focused and committed to consolidating on the achievements recorded over the years, while continuing to deliver purposeful leadership and meaningful development to the people of Ogun State.

The governor further called on party faithful to sustain the prevailing atmosphere of peace, harmony and brotherhood within the APC as preparations intensify for the forthcoming general elections.
