A United States Congressman, Riley Moore, has alleged that Fulani militants are responsible for more d+aths in Nigeria than Boko Haram, particularly affecting Christian communities.
Moore made the claim in a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, where he reacted to a recent report by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).
The USCIRF report stated that there are no fewer than 30,000 armed Fulani militants currently operating across Nigeria. The commission further noted that these armed groups are contributing significantly to insecurity and worsening violations of religious freedom in several parts of the country.

Reacting to the report, Moore said, “The latest USCIRF report further details a h%rrific truth that Mario DB and I revealed in our report to President Donald Trump.”
He added, “Fulani militants k+lled more people in Nigeria over the past year than Boko Haram or ISIS. Innocent Christians are bearing the brunt of this vi%lent pers+cution.”
Moore further stated, “President Trump rightly recognized the urgent need to protect Nigerian Christians by specifically addressing this thr£at in the administration’s Counterterrorism Strategy.”
He concluded, “America is a Christian nation. We must continue to stand with those who are persecuted for their faith and hold these t+rrorists accountable.”
