Many Nigerians have got talking on social media after a church used leavened bread for their holy communion.
Holy Communion or Lord’s Supper, in Christianity, ritual commemoration of Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, at which (according to tradition) he gave them bread with the words, “This is my body,” and wine with the words, “This is my blood.”
Taking to micro blogging platform, Twitter, a young Nigerian man, @jones_ayuwo, shared pictures of what he got during a recent holy communion service in his local church.
According to him, the village church took the service to another level, as they served a local leavened bread popularly known as ‘Agege bread’. He wrote;
