Building Shaped in form of a basket to be turned to a 150-room hotel
Popularly known as the “Basket house” might to some people look like a photo shop or a special work of art, bur its a real building located in the Newark city, Ohio.
The building, which belongs to the Longaberger company, manufacturer of the wooden basket was built in 1997 on the command of the company’s founder Dave Longaberger for $32million.
Meanwhile, the company moved out of the building in 2016 and it closed down in 2018. The building now belongs to property developer Steve Coon and his business associate Bobby George who plan to transform the seven storey picnic basket shaped building to a luxury hotel with 150 rooms.
