Few Concerned Nigerians took to the streets to hold a protest against the incessant rape and the lack of justice for victims in Nigeria.
The #EndRape protest held earlier today in Lagos and Abuja.
In Abuja, the #EndRape protesters gathered at the police headquarters to sensitize people about what constitutes rape.
The same was done in Lagos state, and videos sighted by LailasNews showed men and women dressed in all black while carrying placards warning against rape and asking for justice for victims.
Media personality, Bolanle Olukanni, who was present at today’s protest said the response from the Command Headquarters was not encouraging.
“Requesting for change with @standtoendrape. Protesting against the indifference of the @nigeriapoliceforce . We need you to do better for us. Help us . Protect us ! Honestly very disappointed with the response we got at the Command Headquarters.”
