Federal Government To Ban Inter-state Travels Over Coronavirus

The Nigerian Government has announced plans to ban inter-state movement of people as a strategy to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Bashir Ahmed, Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, disclosed this in a Twitter post on Thursday.

He said the information was relayed by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed.

He said, “The Federal Government announces plans to ban inter-state travel and possibly close down all motor parks as part of measures to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus, Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, discloses the plans this afternoon. COVID19 Nigeria.”

Nigeria currently has 65 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and one recorded death.
