The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a Transport Track Fund designed to give N30,000 grants to commercial drivers across the federation.
The payment will include bus drivers, taxi drivers, motorcycle riders and operators of ride-hailing cabs such as Bolt and Uber.
Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad who made the announcement said the programme is in furtherance of FG’s commitment to support small businesses to cushion the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He tweeted;
