The founder and leader of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, in his reaction to trending sex videos of his son, Daniel, has said the boy is suffering from mental illness.

Daniel, the last son of Duncan-Williams has been trending on social after going berserk and releasing obscene videos of himself and girls having fun.

The videos and information Daniel has released have gained currency on social media with many pouncing on it as their topic for the day. But according to the Archbishop, Daniel’s outbursts are as a result of a serious illness he is suffering from.

In a statement issued on his social media pages on Tuesday night, Duncan-Williams and his family pleaded with the public to understand the situation and bear with them on the obscene videos even though they are abhorring.

The statement revealed that while Daniel has been receiving the best of treatments for his illness but relapses any time he refuses to take his medication on a regular basis. The family thus pleaded that the boy’s behaviour not be made into a media fodder or clickbait.

They also thanked their well-wishers for their prayer and also hoped for healing and restoration for Daniel.

“Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams and his family thank you for your prayers. Daniel’s outbursts on social media and elsewhere should not be media fodder or click-bait. We acknowledge that the obscenities are abhorrent but understand that he has a serious illness. Daniel has undergone the very best medical interventions, treatments and hospitalizations, yet he experiences relapses when he does not continue on his prescribed medication” the statement partly reads

The Archbishop says “this is a test of his faith, but he will overcome”. In his own words; “I acknowledge the situation my son is in, and I still love him…please continue to pray with us…. “Love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
