Pastor Ghandi Olaoye, the former leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jesus House, Washington DC, who had resigned from the ministry to contest for a traditional stool in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, has finally spoken out concerning the decision he took.

According to Church Gist, Ghandi Olaoye said God told him to abandon his position in RCCG and contest for the traditional stool because it was his destiny to become the new Soun of Ogbomosho.

He said he consulted the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, before leaving his office in the church.

Additionally, he said his personal decision was to retire from the ministry after serving for 30 years before God’s instruction came to him. He apologized to his church members for any inconveniences and embarrassment they may have felt.
