Graphic: Man allegedly brutalizes sister over property in Enugu

A 59-year-old Nigerian woman simply identified as Maureen is currently writhing in pain after her brother allegedly attacked her over their father’s property in Enugu state.

According to Human rights group, Women’s Aid Collective WACOL, the victim said their late father left the said property in her custody and made her promise to take care of the property and not transfer ownership to Mr Francis Egbujie.

However, the victim alleged that, over time, her brother has been pestering her to hand over the documents to him but she refused. Reports reveals that on Wednesday, Sept.30, 2020, Francis attempted to kill his sister by breaking her head.

The victim, Maureen, revealed that before her brutalization, when her siblings lodged a complaint at Trans Ekulu Police Station, they were detained for reason unknown to them. Maureen is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
