There is a Festival In Okirika in Rivers State Nigeria called #IRIA_ceremony where Virgins are kept in one special room for 1-3 months, where they will undergo some training on womanhood.
The ceremony is a celebration of femininity, preparing the tribes girls for marriage. Half-naked virgins are paraded during the Iria ceremony. It is believed that as every girl is born, they develop romantic attachments with the water spirits of the tribe.
