The Court D’Apeal in Cotonou, Benin Republic, on Thursday night, July 22, returned Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, to cell.
According to SaharaReporters, an official of the court said the court ruled that Igboho should be returned to custody, while his wife, Rope, be released.
“They just finished from court. The wife is to be released this night and Sunday is to remain in custody. The matter was adjourned till Friday, July 23,” an official said.
Recall that the Benin Republic police on Monday night arrested Igboho at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport in Cotonou, while trying to fly from the country to Germany. He is accused of obtaining a fake Beninise passport.
