An ND2 student of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic in Oyo State, Akinsuyi Samuel, has been hospitalized after he was h!t by a stray b#llet, allegedly fired by a police officer.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred on Friday afternoon, March 11, while the business administration student was traveling from Eruwa, where the school is located, to Ibadan, the state’s capital.
According to a source, “Samuel is my course-mate, we just concluded our project defense yesterday, and while he was traveling to Ibadan from Eruwa this afternoon, police stopped him at a checkpoint along the road.
I don’t know what transpired between him and the police officers but one of them sh#t his car and the b#llet h!t him on both legs. One of his legs is completely scattered.
We went to the checkpoint, and the police we met claimed the officer that sh#t him wanted to sh#ot the tyre of the car, that it was a mistake. We are currently at the police station but they have refused to let was in.”
