Ladipo market fire outbreak destroy over 200 shops and goods worth millions
A Fire outbreak on Wednesday broke out at Ladipo market in Lagos destroying goods worth millions of naira.
Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Acting Zonal Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said the fire started about 4am on Wednesday.
Farinloye said a shop containing car accessories worth millions of naira was destroyed by the fire.
He said the shops housed vehicle air conditioners, engine oil, paints and other car accessories.
He explained that firefighters had a tough time putting out the fire as one of the shops had inflammable accessories.
Farinloye, however, noted that no one was trapped or died in the incident.
