The hospital where a 28-year-old lady d#ed during labour has been shut down by the Lagos State Government.
Medville Global Health Center, located at Ago Palace Way in the Okota area of the state, was on Tuesday, April 5, shut down indefinitely, over alleged incompetence.
Abiola Idowu, executive secretary of Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), in a statement said preliminary investigations carried out by the team revealed that the hospital is not registered with HEFAMAA, and that it had inadequate personnel.
This comes two days after the bereaved husband took to Twitter to narrate the events that led to the demise of his wife within the Medville facility. According to him, his wife who was attending antenatal clinics at the facility, d#ed after she was induced to speed up her labour.
