Southwark Crown Court, in London, has sentenced a Nigerian man, Sola Austin Warikwah, 36, to 10 years imprisonment for raping a woman who mistook his car for her pre-booked mini-cab.

It was gathered that the security guard committed the crime after the 25-year-old woman got into his car at Embankment, London early on 22 April 2019.

She mistakenly thought it was cab booked to take her home. Instead, Warikwah drove her to a multi-storey car park in Victoria where he raped her. The building was one of the sites he was patrolling in central London at night as part of his job.
