Man gives his wife money to spend in jail after plotting with her side piece to kill him

A man has overlooked the wrong done by his wife – who allegedly plotted with her lover to have him killed – and given her money for her upkeep in police custody in Ghana.

According to Adom News, the 27-year-old woman, Mavis, allegedly planned with her boyfriend, Patrick, to kill her husband, David Gator, so they could settle down together.

The lovers were, however, arrested after an assassin they tried to contract on phone turned out to be a policeman.

The two made their first appearance in court on Friday, May 8, 2020. David, who was also present in court, assured his wife of his undying love as she cried.

He also gave her an undisclosed sum of money and reportedly told her it was for her upkeep in prison while an investigation into the matter continues.

According to the report, the man has long forgiven Mavis and appealed for the charges against her to be dropped so that he can take her back as his wife
