A 32-year-old man, who was recently evacuated from Dubai has died of COVID-19 infection in Lagos State, OsmekNews Reports

The sad development was made known by the Lagos Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, on Twitter earlier today.

According to the health commissioner, the deceased recently returned from Dubai with severe underlying health conditions.

Prof Akin Abayomi said;

“Total number of discharged COVID-19 patients in Lagos now stands at 502.

“Another COVID-19 infection related death involving 32-year-old, male has been recorded.

“The deceased recently returned from Dubai with severe underlying health condition following evacuation of Nigerians in foreign countries by @DigiCommsNG.

“Total COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos is now 34. I urge Lagosians to remain committed to rules guiding COVID-19 infection prevention regardless of relaxation of lockdown.”

He said the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state is now 34.

Abayomi also said 502 patients have so far recovered from the disease and had been discharged from various isolation centres in the state. The commissioner, therefore, urged residents to “remain committed to rules guiding COVID-19 infection prevention regardless of relaxation of lockdown”.
