Manchester United striker, Odion Ighalo, has hinted at a return to the Nigerian senior National team, Super Eagles, a year after his retirement.
Ighalo shocked many fans when he announced his retirement after his five-star performance at the Africa cup of nations.
He has now revealed he is considering returning to the Super Eagles, after he previously retired because of the stress of traveling from China to link up with the team.
OsmekNews Gathered that, Ighalo moved to England in January, joining Manchester United on loan and recently extended his loan deal with the Old Trafford outfit until January 2021.
Ighalo has now revealed that he has not given up on returning to the Super Eagles team, stating that he is still in contact with the coach and NFF chairman. He told Brila FM;
“I am still in contact with Gernot Rohr and Amaju Pinnick, and they congratulated me on my loan deal.”
“I am still thinking about returning to the national team, but right now I want to concentrate on my club career.
“I left the national team because of the distance between Nigeria and China, but now that I am in Manchester and just like life and in my career, you never can tell.”
