Marvel pays tribute to late Chadwick Boseman

Paying tribute to the late talented actor, Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios shared a four-minute-forty-three-seconds video on their official social media handles.

Actor Chadwick Boseman, who was star of Marvel Studios’ film Black Panther passed away at the age of 43 on Saturday, and family, fans, and co-stars have been mourning the loss.

Titled, A Tribute for a King, the video includes behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews from Boseman’s time as Black Panther. It also has clips of him attending the comic-cons and other promotional events.

While Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios called Boseman an amazing actor in the video, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler says the latter was incredible and gifted.

Praising Boseman for the nuance he brought to his performance as King T-Challa of Wakanda, Scarlett Johansson said his presence on the sets raised the stake for everybody, whereas, RDJ acknowledged him as a part of culture and symbol. Adoring Boseman’s for the energy he brought to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Evans called him a powerhouse.

Angela Bassett, who played Boseman’s mother in the movie, shared a touching story of her personal connection to Boseman. It goes back more than a decade before they starred together in Black Panther when she received an honorary degree from Howard University, and Boseman was the student assigned to escort her that day.

“This young man’s dedication was awe-inspiring, his smile contagious, his talent unreal,” Bassett wrote. “So I pay tribute to a beautiful spirit, a consummate artist, a soulful brother.”
