Nigeria’s oldest Chief Imam, Sheikh Tahir, dies at 130; leaves behind 515 children, grandchildren, others

Chief Imam of Kafanchan Central Mosque, Sheikh Adam Tahir, has d!ed at the age of 130 years.

Deputy Chief Imam of Kafanchan, Alhaji Muhammad Kassim, said Sheikh Adam d!ed on Wednesday evening after a brief Illness. He noted that the late Imam would be missed by Muslim faithful as he was a role model to all.

Late Sheikh Tahir is survived by 26 children, 290 grandchildren and more than 200 great-grandchildren.
