NEWS Nnamdi Kanu’s trial: Ezeife, British Envoy arrives Abuja court Osmek News October 21, 2021 1 min read Nnamdi Kanu’s trial: Ezeife, British Envoy arrives Abuja court ShareChukwuemeka Ezeife, a former Governor of Anambra State has arrived at the Abuja Federal High Court for Nnamdi Kanu, pro-Biafra agitator’s trial. Ezeife is in court to witness the trial of the pro-Biafra agitator. The former governor was accompanied by Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor. Also, a British envoy arrived at the court premises at about 8:03 am to witness the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. Kanu is facing charges of treasonable felony and terrorism. Heavily armed security operatives have besieged the court premises. The IPOB leader was first arrested and granted bail in 2017 by Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Federal High Court. After granting him bail, Kanu fled the country to Europe over an alleged threat to his life by the Nigerian Army. However, he was rearrested in July 2021 and rearraigned before Justice Nyako to continue his trial. The Federal Government also amended the charges against Kanu.
