Afrobeats megastar Davido has once again reminded the world of the Adeleke dynasty’s wealth, revealing in a recent interview that his family owns two private jets — and they’re often just sitting idle, waiting for his next trip.
The singer, known for his global performances and jet-setting lifestyle, explained that while owning a private jet is one thing, maintaining it is a whole different financial game.
“Maintaining the jet over the years is more expensive than buying the jet,” Davido shared. “But thank God my family has a very lucrative business that can manage that.”
According to him, the jets are rarely used by anyone else in the family. “My dad doesn’t go anywhere, my siblings barely travel. It’s mostly me because of my work. So the jets are just packed when I’m not using them,” he said.
Davido also detailed how his family utilizes both jets during special occasions, especially large family gatherings and vacations. “When we go on holidays, we carry both of them. My wedding? We came back with both jets — back to back, man,” he recalled.
However, not all members of the family get to enjoy the private jet treatment. “When we go on holidays, like 60 of us, not everyone flies private. Some people take commercial flights,” he revealed.
