One Dead As Okada Riders Attack Police Officers On ‘Illegal Duty’ In Lagos

Three members of a criminal gang of kidnappers have been arrested by a joint security operatives in Aguata Council Area of Anambra State for abd¥cting a man at Mkpuota.
They were arrested on Thursday April 27. The arrested hoodlums are: Chinonso Offor, Hycent Ugwuike, and Samuel Sunday.
The suspects were arrested after a g¥n duel between them and security operatives. The victim was rescued in the process.
It would be recalled that in a trending video. men in a prado jeep double-crossed the man in the grey Lexus jeep then forced him into their Black Prado car. They then zoomed off with the man and his car. The eyewitness who filmed the video said he doesn’t know the group responsible for the abduction but they were wearing the police polo. “They are wearing police polo but they are not police officers. They are kidnappers. They are thieves,” the voice filming is heard saying in the video.
Confirming the incident to the Press, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikéngà said that the hoodlums confessed to the Anambra State Police operatives as being members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
He added that the following items were recovered from the suspects; Two AK-47 with live ammunition, fake police and army uniforms, two Cell phones, two Bulletproof vest, two Walkie-talkie, one black Prado Jeep with registration number: GWA – 696 CM ABUJA, one Ash Lexus 350 with registration number: EKY – 605GV LAGOS.
