Renowned gospel artist and ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Bolaji Olarewaju, widely known as Big Bolaji, has passed away at the age of 50.
According to a statement from his family, the respected musician and preacher d+ed on Easter Saturday, April 19, 2025, after a brief illness.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bolaji Olarewaju, affectionately known as Big B — a beloved husband, father, brother, pastor, and a prominent figure in the gospel music scene,” the statement read.
The family described his life as a reflection of his deep faith, love for music, and commitment to uplifting others. “His legacy lives on not just in his music, but in the countless lives he touched and the joy he brought to many,” they added.
They expressed comfort in the belief that while he is no longer with them, he is now in the presence of the Lord, leaving behind an unforgettable impact on everyone who knew him.
