Raymond Dokpesi Snr, recovers from COVID-19

Raymond Dokpesi Snr, the chairman and founder of Daar Communications, owners of AIT, has recovered from coronavirus, LailasNews can confirm.

We earlier reported that Dokpesi, his daughter-in-law and six members of his family, had tested positive for the virus on May 1st, days after his first son, Raymond Jnr, tested positive for the virus.

They were immediately evacuated to an isolation center in Abuja where they received treatment for the disease.

New reports has it that Raymond Snr and two of his grandchildren who were also infected, have tested negative twice for the virus, and were discharged earlier today.

In a letter of appreciation signed by him, the media mogul expressed gratitude to God for seeing his family through the trying period.

“I am exceptionally indebted to God Almighty for keeping and protecting me and my entire family all through our isolation at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada Isolation Centre”

“We are better acquainted with the personal sacrifices many Nigerians are making to ensure that we collectively defeat this pandemic. This cuts across the policymakers, the care providers and even the cleaners whose job puts them at constant risk of exposure.”his letter read

He thanked Nigerians in the country and in the diaspora for their concern and prayers, including eminent personalities who reached out with messages of support.
