Love Ogah, daughter of Bishop David Oyedepo, has shared a chilling childhood experience involving a failed a+s@ssination attempt on her father, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel).
Speaking during a church service, Love used the incident as a powerful testimony to encourage the congregation to build a personal relationship with God.
Recalling the event, she said, “I was in secondary school when it happened. One night, hired k+llers came to our home and clearly stated at the gate, ‘We are here to exec¥te him’—referring to my father. Our house turned into a w@r zone.”
She described how the att@ckers searched every part of the house but somehow failed to see her father, even though he was in plain sight. “He watched them the whole time, but they couldn’t see him,” she said. “At one point, we hid behind the door, and it sl@mmed into my face. My gum was torn, and my lip was bl++ding.”
After hours of fear and chaos, the atmosphere shifted. “My aunt rushed in crying, panicked and searching for my dad. Suddenly, he calmly walked out of his room. We thought it was a movie. He told us, ‘I was watching them the whole time.’ They had searched his room but didn’t see him,” she recounted.
Love concluded with a strong message on spiritual readiness: “When you’re in the centre of God’s will, challenges will test your faith. That’s why I’m pleading—know God for yourself. You can’t f@ke this forever. The enemies are many, but when you’re in God, you live from a place of victory. They can’t touch you.”
